January Game is a three-part urban fantasy novella that examines and experiments with boundaries between good and evil, hero and villain, black and white, and the realistic and fantastic. In this story, the three main characters face internal and external battles to achieve their goals. Rebecca desires to fulfill her duty but must determine what price she is willing to pay. Cilicia struggles with her sense of self as she works to protect her kin from oppression. Kenzie sympathizes with opposing sides of a war and struggles to navigate the middle ground. Playing their own game, they all struggle to win no matter the cost.
